    What is on it

Page one is the week: breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day, with room to write. At the bottom are three boxes: what to use up first, a leftovers night, and the keepers, the dinners everyone liked.

Page two is a grocery list sorted into produce, meat and fish, dairy and eggs, pantry, frozen and everything else, so you can shop one section at a time.

    How to use it

    1. Print it on a calm day

Sunday works for most families. It is US Letter and prints fine in black and white.

    2. Fill in Use up first

Look in the fridge before anything else. Whatever needs eating decides the first dinners.

    3. Write the dinners first

Dinner is the hard one. Breakfast and lunch can repeat all week.

    4. Leave a night open

Plan five or six dinners and leave room for leftovers or a night out.

    5. Make the list from the plan

Go through each dinner and write only what you do not have on page two.

    6. Keep the keepers

Write down what everyone liked. Next week starts there.
