Question 1

Is Sixish free?

Accepted Answer

Sixish is free to use for everything except creating new recipes: your pantry, imports, cook mode, grocery lists and what it learns about your family. You get 30 recipes to start, then 10 recipes and 10 pictures a month. Sixish Plus is $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year for unlimited recipes, and one subscription covers everyone in your household.

Question 2

What devices does Sixish work on?

Accepted Answer

Sixish is an iOS app (iPhone). We're focused on making the iPhone experience great first, with plans to expand to other platforms based on demand.

Question 3

How does Sixish come up with recipes?

Accepted Answer

You tell Sixish what ingredients you have, how much time you've got, and your family's preferences. Sixish creates personalized recipes that match, not generic suggestions from a database, but meals built specifically for your kitchen.

Question 4

What dietary restrictions are supported?

Accepted Answer

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and more. Set them up once in your family profile and Sixish tailors every suggestion around them. Recipes are created for you automatically, so we recommend a quick ingredient check for anything you need to avoid.

Question 5

What makes Sixish different from other meal planning apps?

Accepted Answer

Most meal apps start with recipes and then build a shopping list. Sixish starts with what's already in your kitchen and works backwards. The Quick Cook feature gives you meals from your pantry alone, no shopping required.
